Press release: The CVP-500 receives a 2016 SDCE Green Supply Chain Award

Supply & Demand Chain Executive (SDCE), the executive's user manual for successful supply and demand chain transformation, has selected the CVP-500 as a recipient of an SDCE Green Supply Chain Award for 2016. The CVP-500 is recognized for its ability to reduce shipping volumes by up to 50 percent while also reducing DIM weight.  The Green Supply Chain Award recognizes companies making green or sustainability a core part of their supply chain strategy, and are working to achieve measurable sustainability goals within their own operations and supply chains. The awards also recognize providers of supply chain solutions and services assisting their customers in achieving measurable sustainability goals.

The CVP-500, a fit-to-size packing automation system that optimizes all steps of order fulfillment, was recognized for its commitment to achieve a sustainable packing process and supply chain operations. The CVP-500 builds, fills, folds and labels each parcel in one seamless process to create a custom-fit box in seconds. The automated packing system was honored for its ability to save up to 20 percent on corrugated and eliminate void fill by creating a perfect fit for all orders being shipped.

“Our honorees are showing that the bottom line and corporate responsibility are not mutually exclusive,” says Ronnie Garrett, editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “This has been increasingly evident over the past few years and is relatively clear with the large number of entries we received this year for our annual green awards. Sustainability has, for these companies, become a key part of their supply chain strategies.”

“We are honored to be a recipient of the 2016 Supply & Demand Chain Executive Green Supply Chain Award,” said Marc Aandeweg, Head of Global Sales & Operations of Neopost Shipping. “Not only is the CVP-500 environmentally friendly, but it makes order fulfillment faster, more reliable and more efficient than ever before. Businesses will be able to fulfill their commitment to a green supply chain, while boosting their business.”

The CVP-500 has also been recognized with numerous innovation and environmental awards in Europe over the past two years:

• The SITL Innovation Award and All4Pack Innovation Award in France (2016)

• The Dutch Packaging Award in the Netherlands (2016), and The Logistica Award in the Netherlands (November 2015)
